



So I was given this assignment for class to make a printed pattern using one block of this material where I had to carve.. Let me tell you I was nervous. I was doing cutting and carving... lol. That usually doesn't go over well with me, at least the carving part. I still to this day cannot cut meat without almost hurting myself. This wasn't so bad. I only stabbed myself once. Not knowing what I wanted to make, it ended up looking like a tree. I think I went a little print happy. The girl next to me did this awesome gradient effect that I wanted to try. Mine was pretty successful. I saved a blank block so I could try this project again under my own terms.
